iJohnW.com: Wii Fit Excitement in the Air

It was pretty easy to get a Wii Fit here in Australia when they came out..at least for the 1st day. A good tip is to go to one of the more expensive stores, and then have them price match..the expensive stores had lots of stock lol

Also recommend getting a rubber cover for the balance board, as the thing gets pretty dirty fast...its so darn white!

ps i think you mean peeking?

Hey Ross! Thanks for the good insight on the Fit! I guess I will have to get a cover for it now....

I am seriously thinking about Best Buy since you can get the We Ski for $10 off...I think I'm going to call around tomorrow and see who will have them in stock Wednesday morning!

As far as prices, they are all same unless you have a coupon for a store. They are selling for $89. Toys R Us has a coupon also for $5 off and Best Buy has a $10 off coupon for games until the 22nd.

I might get lucky on Wednesday and get one! We'll see.....

Oh yea..i meant peeking...I had to clear the cache! Thanks!

They're so cheap in the US. Here in Australia they sell for $149.99 (about US$140), but managed to get one for $119.

They really are fantastic though, and have a good balance of hard work and fun! Wii Fit boxing is probably my favourite, made me really sore.

    Enjoy, hope you find one.

Man..talk about being a little expensive over there in Australia! I guess we shouldn't complain about the price!

Wii Fit is £69.99 in the UK which equates to about $135 at the current rates. Only used it once so far, last night when I got it and it looks like fun. I haven't seen the boxing yet so I imagine that's an event I'll need to unlock. The only slight negative for me is that it doesn't present you with a full workout, i.e. it's up to you to select which individual event you want to do. I also purchased the component cable which certainly improves the quality of the image on a HDTV by allowing you to use the 480p option. Not sure if this cable is standard in other territories, it isn't in the UK (there's a surprise!).

Only used it once Lee?! I can't wait to get it! I think it's going to add a lot more excitement to playing with the wii....

I do have the HDTV cable too...altho I wish I had more inputs on my tv to allow HDTV for it...right now the xbox is taking it up..unless I switch that to HDMI

Well I mean one session. I only received it the day before so last night was my first opportunity to have a play. I accrued 53 minutes of 'fitness' time last night. I'm going to try and get at least 30-45 mins of activity on it each night if I can. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts when you're up and running (literally).
